About Us
HISTORY
Renaissance Christian opened its doors in 2007, with a vision to begin a school that offered students a classical education that included parents as partners in their child’s education and to meet the needs of the growing number of families pursuing non-traditional eduational programs. We have been expanding our services to better meet the needs of parents and children in North Carolina as well as nationally. We are quickly approaching the end of our second academic year and we believe the Lord is doing some remarkable work at the school. We are excited to see the future unfold as we remain faithful to the daily tasks that lay before us.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Renaissance Christian School of Excellence is to provide students with a comprehensive, college-preparatory education that prepares each student for life. We seek to develop the whole child — academically, spiritually, emotionally, and physically — through an educational format utilizing both trained classroom instruction and individualized parent involvement.
The vision of Renaissance Christian School of Excellence is to shape an intimate, supportive, engaging school community – where classes are small and personalized, where parents are partners, where teachers teach with passion and commitment.
It is our desire to generate a transforming experience for each student at an age when they are forging their identities and lifetime aspirations and to cultivate in them the belief that they are the masters of their own destinies: each one worthy of greatness and goodness, each one capable of and responsible for serving the community and the world around them while helping them to grow in their understanding of God so that they may become mature and live their lives to the fullest where God has called them.
CORE VALUES
Christ Centered:The knowledge of God is the beginning of wisdom. Renaissance Christian concentrates on building the spiritual stature of our students and staff. This is done through daily devotions, having Biblical instruction as part of our core curriculum.
Academic Excellence: The philosophies and instructional methods of Renaissance Christian are based on the belief that every child has the ability to learn. Placing a strong emphasis on the development of basic skills within small instructional groups, students work at their appropriate instructional level, regardless of age and grade. Learning centers are utilized to best meet students’ individual instructional needs.
Family Focused: The level of parent involvement vital to student success is assured through parent compacts and commitment to direct participation in the daily life of the school, as well as parent partnership in the development of their child’s personal educational plan
Service Orientated: Renaissance Christian will strive to equip our students with leadership skills for service. We encourage students to become active, conscientious and respectful citizens within the RCSE family, as well as within our larger society.
